• A lawsuit challenging lengthy government delays for Employment Authorization
• TPS for nationals of Syria
• the passing of two immigration bills in the House of Representatives
A class action lawsuit was filed against the Department of Homeland Security challenging the long processing delays for employment authorizations for immigrants with H-4 and L-2 visas.
USCIS extended Temporary Protected Status for individuals from Syria. The extended period is from March 31st through September 30, 2022.
The House of Representatives passed two bills immigration bills last week. It passed The American Dream and Promise Act and the Farm Workforce Modernization Act. These bills would provide a pathway to citizenship for Dreamers, Temporary Protected Status Holders, and farmworkers.
