FY 2022 3rd Highest New U.S. Citizens In History Reflects Who Lives and Votes in the U.S.
Many people are surprised at new data that shows that the Fiscal Year 2022 which ended September 30, 2022. It had the 3rd highest number of new U.S. citizens in history and the highest number of new U.S. citizens in the past 15 years. According to Pew Research analysis, nearly one million immigrants became citizens in the fiscal year that ended September 30. According to senior demographer at Pew Research Jeffrey S. Passel, this reflects the number of immigrants who live and vote in the United States.
Simplifying Citizenship Process

- simplifying forms
- redirecting interviewees from cities whose immigration offices are stretched to those that have capacity
- recently announced that it would soon conduct a trial of a redesigned naturalization test intended to be more fair and consistent
