2023 Godoy Law 1st Generation Scholarship

We want to help new Americans achieve the American Dream! Mario Godoy is an immigrant, a U.S. Citizen, an immigration lawyer and the founder of Godoy Law Office. Mario founded Godoy Law Office to Help Immigrants Make America Their Home. To support that goal, Godoy Law Office is proud to offer the 1st Generation Scholarship to help U.S. college students continue their education.

The Godoy Law Office Immigration Lawyers is offering a $1,000 scholarship to first-generation immigrants or the child of first-generation immigrants. To apply, students must submit a 700-1,000 word essay discussing the obstacles they have faced as a first-generation American and how those experiences have shaped them into who they are today. The deadline to apply is December 31, 2023.

Eligibility:

  • Enrolled in an accredited community college, undergraduate, or graduate program
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • 1st generation immigrant or child of a 1st generation immigrant

Application Requirements:

  • Current resume with contact and education information
  • Official or unofficial academic transcript
  • 700-1,000 word essay
