USCIS Offices To Reopen 'On or After June 4' | Chicago Immigration Attorney Mario Godoy

USCIS Offices To Reopen ‘On or After June 4’

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) announced they are readying offices to reopen on or after June 4, 2020. In-person services at USCIS field offices, asylum offices, and application support centers (ASCs) were temporarily closed to the public on March 18 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

When USCIS reopens, it will automatically reschedule ASC appointments that were canceled due to the temporary office closures.

• Individuals who had an appointment will receive new appointment letters in the mail.

• Anyone who had InfoPass or other appointments must contact the USCIS Contact Center to reschedule their appointments after the field offices reopen to the public again.

USCIS staff continued to perform duties that do not require contact with the public throughout the closure and continued processing immigration cases during the coronavirus crisis. The coronavirus situation changes day by day, please be sure to check USCIS’s official website for any coronavirus USCIS updates.
