In this video, we are going to answer what to do if you are arrested. Now, being arrested by a police officer can be both scary and very intimidating and you need to understand that once an officer arrests you, he or she has already decided that it is more probable than not you are guilty of something illegal. In other words, there is no way of talking your way out of that police station. So, the best thing you can do is remain silent, be respectful, and exercise your rights.

You must tell the officer out loud that you will not answer any questions, that you will not speak to them without a lawyer. Now, at that point, you may have to wait to go to court for a bond hearing and if you haven’t spoken to an attorney by the bond hearing then the judge will likely assign a public defender. Now, if you have been arrested or you are under police investigation, we are here to help. We do police station visits during investigations and also after an arrest. Please just call our office for a consultation.
