Welcome to the Immigration Minute with Godoy Law Office, where we give you the recent immigration updates in one minute.
This week we cover the border crisis, new CBP guidance regarding returning Green Card holders with expired Green Cards and a new lawsuit against the Biden administration.
The immigrant children border crisis continues. The number of children in Health and Human Services custody has grown more than 65% between March and April reaching a number of 19,000 children in custody.
Last week CBP issued guidance on the current boarding policy for Green Card holders attempting to reenter the United States with expired Green Cards.
The Biden Administration was also sued over Coronavirus visa restrictions for certain countries. It was initiated under the Trump administration, and basically the lawsuit says that the President may prohibit who enters the United States but it should not prohibit the issuance of new visas to individuals that otherwise qualify.
