Important Update: New USCIS Forms Required April 1st, 2024

Anyone filing with USCIS after April 1st will need to determine if they need a new updated form. U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) new fees go into effect on April 1st, 2024, and it comes with some changes to forms for those affected by the new fees.

New USCIS Forms

Most forms will have a new edition with the updated fee information. For your submissions, you’ll need to use the April 1st, 2024 edition (04/01/24).

  • There’s a 60-day grace period (until June 3rd, 2024) for most forms. During this time, USCIS will accept both the old and new editions, as long as you pay the correct fee
  • However, there’s NO grace period for these specific forms:
    • Form I-129 (Petition for a Nonimmigrant Worker)
    • Form I-129 CW (Petition for a CNMI-Only Nonimmigrant Transitional Worker)
    • Form I-140 (Immigrant Petition for Alien Workers)
    • Form I-600 (Petition to Classify Orphan as an Immediate Relative)
    • Form I-600A (Application for Advance Processing of an Orphan Petition) and its supplements
For these new USCIS forms, you must use the new 04/01/24 edition and pay the updated fee starting April 1st, 2024. USCIS will reject submissions with the older versions.
To avoid any delays or rejections, make sure you use the correct form edition and fee. You can find the latest versions and fee information on the USCIS website: https://www.uscis.gov/forms/all-forms
