April 15 is National American Sign Language Day, commemorating the opening of the first school for the deaf in the U.S in 1817. #NationalASLDay 2022 is of particular importance for deaf immigrants who want to go through the naturalization process to become an American citizen. USCIS (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services) offers naturalization resources in different accessible formats, including videos with naturalization information in sign language and with subtitles.

USCIS accessible naturalization resources and study guides include:

Citizenship Resources In Other Languages

USCIS offers naturalization study materials and resources in other languages including Arabic, Chinese, Korean, Spanish, Tagalog and Vietnamese. Applicants may take the civics test in the language of their choice.

Text-Only Resources
