Welcome to the Immigration Minute with Godoy Law Office where we give you the recent immigration updates in a minute.
This week we cover the end of the 100 day pause to deportation, Biden’s overturning of a Trump proclamation and the detainment of 700 children at the border.
On February 23, a federal judge indefinitely banned Biden’s 100-day deportation pause. The ruling requires deportations to resume but leaves wiggle room as to the pace of the actual physical removal.
On February 24, the White House revoked the previous Trump proclamation which prohibited the entry of certain immigrants into the United States due to the Covid 19 pandemic. This proclamation denied entry to immigrants who had already been granted Green Cards but were outside of the us at the time of the proclamation.
