There’s good news for Ukrainians who were paroled into the US after February 11th, 2022. With Russia’s continuing war on Ukraine, the United States is considering measures to protect Ukrainian immigrants already in the U.S. from removal/deportation. As of February 27th, 2024, eligible Ukrainian citizens and their immediate family members who are physically present in the United States can apply to stay longer through a process called re-parole. This allows them to be considered for an additional temporary stay of up to 2 years.
To be eligible, Ukrainians must be physically present in the United States, have complied with the conditions of the initial parole and provide clear biographic and biometric background checks.
