Illinois Bill HB3438 is waiting for signature by Governor J.B. Pritzker and will require all the state’s college campuses to “designate an undocumented student resource liaison” by the 2022-23 school year to help undocumented immigrant students access to financial aid and other resources to get their degree. This bill makes higher education more attainable to undocumented students and ensures they have the support and environment to succeed.
