U.S. District Judge Matthew F. Kennelly presided over the naturalization ceremony. If you are an immigrant or green card holder who wants to become a U.S. citizen, there are a few things you need to do. First, you must be at least 18 years old, have been a green card holder for at least five years, and be able to read, write, and speak basic English. You can learn more about the eligibility requirements on the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) website.
Once you meet the requirements, you can start the naturalization process. This includes taking a citizenship test, submitting an application, and having an interview. The naturalization process can take several months or even years, so it is important to start early.
If you are eligible to become a U.S. citizen, I encourage you to take the steps to make it happen. Becoming a U.S. citizen is a great way to show your commitment to this country, and it also gives you the right to vote, run for office, and serve on a jury.
