Welcome to the Immigration Minute with Godoy Law Office, where we give you the recent immigration updates in one minute.

Last week Biden appointed 17 new immigration judges. All of the 17 judges were picked by the Trump Administration, and nearly all have backgrounds as prosecutors or ICE employees.

DHS also moved to preserve the International Entrepreneur Parole Program. That allows immigrants to enter the United States to start a new business. Under this program, a new immigrant can get up to five years to establish his or her business.

The child crisis at the Southern Border still continues. The number of detained children has now grown to 21,000; it’s reported that these children are being held in over 200 facilities.

Finally, the Biden Administration announced that all students, including undocumented students, will be eligible to obtain Federal COVID-19 relief as long as they’ve been enrolled at a U.S. college or university since March of 2020.
