This is in response to feedback from stakeholders, and it will make the process more accessible and efficient. Petitioners will now be able to complete most of the FRP process online, eliminating the need to travel, spend time, and fill out paperwork. The process is still available on an invitation-only basis. Secretary of Homeland Security Alejandro N. Mayorkas said:
“Lawful pathways, combined with strong enforcement, are effective at reducing irregular migration to the United States and preventing migrants from putting their lives in the hands of smugglers.”
